Meals That Transform: Week 10 and 11!

Now, I want to first apologize for the lack of pictures this round. mostly due to the fact that I don’t get service on my phone where I am and it’s so busy that I quickly eat my meals and head right back in to work. I did however get a picture of my favorite meal of all in the past 2 weeks! Poached salmon. NOM NOM NOM

Week 10!

Tuesday:
This morning I woke up at 5am (yeah, the new job has me waking up uber early!), got ready and headed over to the train to get up to work by 8.

Breakfast was oatmeal that I happened to get at the cafeteria. I added in some fruit to add in some flavor.

Snack was a protein shake

Lunch was a mixed greens salad.

Starting to get hungry so I opened up my salmon skewers and had those as my PM snack at 3pm

Off work! yay! Came home and dug into my dinner. Roasted Tomato Frittata with really yummy butternut squash

Wednesday:

Wake up, get ready go to work. same drill every morning. I seriously can’t get myself to eat breakfast this early. I am not prepared which i now know I need to be.

Once I got to work I made a bad decision. Breakfast sandwich. while it’s not mcdonalds.. we all know that it doesn’t matter. sigh. oh well, life goes on and i know that it was a bad choice.

Snack was peppers and tapenade

Lunch FINALLY! Tuscan spinach and blackberry salad.

Work is so unbelieveably busy that stress is starting to build up. agh.

Off work, off the train and headed over to pole.

Once home I ate dinner. Seared chicken over seasoned veggies

Thursday:
5am.. you suck!!

Breakfast was oatmeal.

Snack arrived and i devoured the apricot and almonds

Lunch was a really yummy ginger sesame salad

Snack for the afternoon was a protein shake

Tonight is teaching pole night! I love teaching pole soooo much.

Got home and ate a suuuper yummy roasted turkey white bean ragu. I want the recipe for this one!

Annnd bed time.

Friday:
TGIF!

Breakfast was oatmeal again. it’s really the easiest thing to eat and it fills me up.

Snack was veggies with roasted red pepper hummus

Crazy busy day at work. I’m so ready to get outta here!

Lunch was a grilled steak salad. really good. everyone at work was like, heyyy i want some of that!

PM snack was a protein shake

Home at last! Dinner time. poached salmon with broccoli. I WANT THIS RECIPE SO BAD! oh this was delicious!

Saturday:
SLEEEEEP IN! oh glorious morning. okay, so it’s 7am. instead of 5am, that’s sleeping in people! :D

Breakfast was egg whites with some salsa.

Pole class at 11 although this time I did my first test out. Not too bad I would say. Excited to finally be certified soon!

Snack was some fruit and pistachios. looove pistachios

Lunch at 1pm was mahi mahi grapefruit salad. This was an interesting combination of flavors. I am not a huge fan of mahi mahi. :/

Afternoon snack was protein shake

didn’t really do much today. mostly relaxed.

Dinner was lime chicken with grilled sweet potatoes and broccoli. SO YUM

Sunday:
Wake up at 7, make eggs, do household chores. yippeee….

Snack time arrives and i eat an apple with power butter. Bella knew i had powerbutter somewhere because she immediately zoomed into the room and begged for some.

Lunch was a mixed greens salad

skipped snack today as I wasn’t paying attention to time and well.. yeah no shake.

Dinner was salmon and veggies. ate this with my family. it was HUGE! so delicious though. I love sweet potatoes :)

Monday:
Work again already?! made breakfast.. oatmeal and took it with me and i ate it on the train

Snack was a pear and some almonds

Lunch was Ginger garlic shrimp and veggies. really delicious.

Snack was a protein shake

Pole tonight! headed home for dinner and went to pole. I ate a kale and parsley salad… this was different. it needed more dressing i thought. i did kind of cheat and added in some light Cesar dressing.

Week 11!

Tuesday:
I got smart. I made a big batch of oatmeal the night before and now I just measure out a 1/2 cup of oatmeal with some fruit and I’m good to go!

You’ll come to realize that now during work hours, I am A LOT more busy. while this is frustrating, the nice thing about it is that I don’t have to really worry about food.. until it gets slow then I want to eat everything. haha coming up on the second week of the new job is still stressful. I ate a candy bar..yes in the AM! ugh. come on Ali.

Snack was veggies with white bean dip

Lunch was an apple poppy seed salad. this was YUMMY!

Snack time. protein shake!

Got home, ate dinner which was a sesame salmon bowl. delish!

Bed time!

Wednesday:
I’m telling ya, 5am gets here before you even know it. blahhhh

Oatmeal and chai tea latte with an espresso shot. it was greatly needed.

Snack was a fresh nectarine.

Lunch was a mango mint salad. this was really good!

Snack was a shake

Off to home I go!

Pole time. burned some good calories

Dinner was caprese topped grilled chicken with rapini. I liked the chicken but the rapini… not so much :(

Thursday:
Oatmeal for breakfast.

Snack was a protein shake.

Lunch arrives and I ate a black fig arugula salad. Now, this salad was good! Never had figs before. they were honestly delicious!

PM snack was thai chicken tenders.

Got back to my car from the train and headed over to teach pole.

On my way home there was a huge lightning and thunder storm happening. Huge lightning bolts! Got home and a big thunder BOOM and the power goes off. Now, I have been through storms before but the thunder was uber loud. my poor baby Bella was terrified and would not leave my side.

I ate my Yam and swiss chard soup cold LOL. it was delicious though!

Oh and you should all know that I showered in the dark, washed my hair even.. with a candle going hahaha

Friday:
Oatmeal to break the fast!

I’m so glad it’s friday. It’s been needed since Monday.

Snack were some cucumbers and hummus

Lunch was a veggie Tabbouleh. This was really good! Quinoa is my favorite

Snack was a protein shake

Home at last! Ahi tuna for din din

Saturday:

Breakfast was eggs and salsa

Snack were grapes and I ate some as I was teaching pole class today.. Second test out! This test out was different as it was a different way to teach. Not my strongest. Jenn told me to do one more so that’ll happen soon!

Lunch was a farmer’s market salad.

Snack was a protein shake

Today I signed up for a gym pass at the local rec center. I have to admit, I am SO proud of myself! it’s a really nice gym. I did the elliptical and burned 400 calories in 30 minutes.

Dinner tonight was chicken parmesan. Really good!

Sunday:
Oatmeal for breakfast

Snack was grapes. I love grapes because whenever i crave sweet things like chocolate, i go for grapes since they are higher in sugars and it helps out a lot!

Lunch was pesto turkey burger with a cucumber and tomato salad. the burger was yummy.. a little on the dry side. the cucumber salad was DELICIOUS!

Snack protein shake!

Dinner was a veggie curry toss. this was good! I need the recipe for this one :)

Monday:
Oatmeal.. how did you guess that was my breakfast?! LOL

Pear and almonds for my AM snack

Beet and spinach salad for lunch. I love beets.

too busy to even realize i missed my break. didn’t drink my shake until I was on the train home.

Got to the gym for a workout so the protein shake an hour before helped a lot!

No pole today. Went home and ate roasted turkey with green beans :)
